Czech court orders to shut down Representative Office of Donetsk People’s Republic
According to Ceske Noviny news outlet, the Czech Republic court has ruled to shut down the so-called “Representative office of the Donetsk People’s Republic.”
According to the court ruling, the activities of the so-called “DRP’s Representative office” are illegal. The Representative Office is located in Ostrava and was allegedly opened in 2016.
The Czech Republic court rejected previous appeals against the closure of the DPR Representative office. Pro-Russian activist Neli Liskova urged the courts not to order the closure of the Office. She said that she intends to appeal the ruling in the Supreme Court of the Czech Republic.
She also said that she is considering establishing a similar organization in the future, if the current Representative office is closed.
In 2016, officials of Prague stated that the so-called “DPR” cannot have any representative offices in the Czech Republic.
