US strategic drones conduct reconnaissance flights near Crimea and Donbas

American Northrop Grumman RQ-4 Global Hawk drone has conducted reconnaissance near the coast of Crimea, reports CivMilAir twitter service which tracks the traffic of military aircraft.

According to the report, the drone with the tail sign 10-2043 took off from the Naval Air Station Sigonella (Sicily, Italy) and spent several hours over the western and southern coasts of the Crimea flying at the altitude of 16,000 kilometers.

Another aircraft tracking service, the PlaneRadar, reported that the second drone (tail sign 05-2024) of the same model set off from Sigonella airbase and carried out a reconnaissance flight over the demarcation line in the Donbas.

On March 8, it was reported that an American reconnaissance aircraft Boeing RC-135V flew near Syrian coastline close to Russian Tartus naval base and Khmeimim Air Base in Lattakia.

According to the tracking services, the plane approached the Russian military bases as 70 kilometers.
