Russian Prosecutor General asked the US to open a criminal case against Putin’s critic Browder
The Russian Prosecutor General, Yury Chaika has requested the United States to launch a probe into British investor William Browder, on whose initiative the United States adopted the so-called "Magnitsky Act" on sanctions against Russian human rights violators.

The U.S. Department of Treasury expanded the Magnitsky sanctions list
On the 9th of January, the Head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin and another four Russian citizens were added to the Magnitsky sanctions list. According to the updated list published on the Ministry’s website, another five Russian citizens, Alexander Bastrykin, Stanislav Gordievsky, Dmitri Kovtun, Andrey Lugovoy and Gennady Plaksin were targeted by sanctions under the Magnitsky Act.

Magnitsky list expanded to include 30 more Russian officials
As reported by Radio Liberty, the International Foundation of Justice for Sergei Magnitsky, published a new list of officials who, in the organization’s opinion, are involved in the posthumous prosecution of the late Hermitage Capital lawyer.

US Adds Five Names to the Magnitsky List of Sanctioned Russians
The U.S Treasury Department reported that five additional people have been placed on the Magnitsky sanctions list. A Sevastopol native and former Deputy Interior Minister of Russia, Alex Anichin, as well as Yevgeny Antonov, Boris Kibis, Pavel Lapshov and Oleg Urzumtsev (all citizens of the Russian Federation) were added to the list.
