Norway to invest up to € 400 million in Ukrainian renewable energy

At a joint press conference with the Foreign Minister of Norway Ine Eriksen Soreide in Kyiv, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin said that Norway intends to invest about 400 million euros in Ukraine’s renewable energy field.

"We are developing good economic relations. Now we are starting to work with a number of Norwegian companies that come to build renewable energy facilities. These are very serious investments worth 300-400 million euros," said Klimkin.

According to Klimkin, "since the beginning of the Russian aggression against Ukraine, Norway has increased its financial assistance to Ukraine by seven times."

"Over the years, we have already received more than 160 million euros of aid from Norway," said the Foreign Minister.

Soreide, in turn, noted that the annual financial aid to Norway to Ukraine is 20 million euros and will be maintained at the same level.
