Ukraine and Slovakia signed agreement on joint production of weapons
As part of the Arms and Security International Exhibition which started on October 11th in Kyiv, an agreement was signed between the Slovak company, Grand Power, and the Ukrainian state company, Ukroboronservice (a division of Ukroboronprom) regarding the manufacture of firearms, the press service of Ukroboronprom reports.
"An agreement was signed by the head of Grand Power, Jaroslav Kuracina, and the Director of the State Company Ukroboronservice, Sergiy Mykytyuk. In accordance with the agreement, the Ukrainian and Slovak gunsmiths will work together on new developments and share experiences and technological solutions. As Sergiy Mykytyuk said, the Ukrainian gunsmiths will assemble K100 pistols and K105 submachine guns with the intent to deliver these weapons to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the National Guard, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine," the statement indicated.
Given the membership of Slovakia in NATO and the European Union, this will allow them to focus on joint efforts to create new samples of modern firearms according to NATO standards and increase the level of mutually beneficial cooperation and partnership with Ukraine’s Western partners, the Company noted.
