Russian Foreign Ministry: FBI is exerting pressure on Russian diplomats to prohibit them from monitoring polling stations

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, posted on Facebook that the FBI is exerting direct pressure on Russian diplomats to prohibit them from coming to the polling stations of the US presidential elections on the 8th of November.

According to Zakharova, FBI agents “with undisguised threats” made it clear that it is better for Moscow not to show interest in the US elections.

Zakharova asked “what would a foreign diplomat see at the polling stations and why is the observation procedure of the elections being controlled by the FBI?”
