Leader of the so-called Donetsk People's Republic bans Pokemon Go

The leader of the so-called Donetsk People's Republic, Alexander Zakharchenko, signed a decree banning the installation of the popular game.

Information regarding the prohibition of the game has appeared on the DPR1 separatist website.

"CIA agents did not miss the new opportunity to hook the world on a mindless game again. A number of public and religious organizations in DPR urged the management of the republic to protect the citizens from this devilry which deprives a person of reason and faith in God," says the statement.

It is noted that Zakharchenko personally tried to play Pokemon Go, but failed to catch a single Pokémon as the best ones were on the territory "occupied" by Ukraine.

"The unavailability of Pokémon for the residents of the DPR, as well as the defectiveness of the game resulted in the issue of Decree №412-3P, by which Pokemon Go is included on the list of extremist games. DPR head’s apparently has also sent letters to Apple and Google, asking to ban the spread of Pokemon Go across the DPR," the text reads.
