Kremlin: Russian Army will be equipped with new ‘intelligent weapons’ by 2025

By 2025, Russia will complete the work on building intelligent weapons, developing new robots and drones. By that time, the space group should be also upgraded, as stated by the Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin on “Saturday News" program of “Russia 1" television channel.

According to him, these plans are part of the state armament program. Rogozin called it “innovative” and explained that the program includes new approaches.

"First of all, it is the creation of intelligent weapons, an automated system of communication and reconnaissance. We will have a new modern communication system for the troops,” the Deputy Prime Minister stated.

He said that new unmanned ground and air vehicles were being finalized in Russia, and that space weapons were being updated.

At the same time, Rogozin assured that "Russia is an absolutely peaceful country ".

According to him, the priority of the Russian authorities is to ensure the security of Russia’s borders and its allies, and “Russia has a system is capable of responding to any enemy".

"We shall therefore respond to any aggression by potential adversaries not by the great numbers but by the great skills and mobility of our armed forces," said Dmitry Rogozin.
