At least 19 Ukrainian servicemen were killed last month in the Donbas

At least 19 Ukrainian servicemen were killed, and 128 were injured in the month of March in the Donbas, as reported by the DPA agency on the 2nd of April. On March 31st alone, one serviceman was killed, and eight were injured as a result of hostilities in eastern Ukraine.

Two Ukrainian soldiers die on March 20th, and another two were killed on March 25th. According to information that was released during the last month by the press center of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, not all losses were the result of combat. It was reported that on the 29th of March, one Ukrainian serviceman was killed in a traffic accident.

Four Ukrainian soldiers were killed in January of this year and eight in February. OSCE observers note that the situation in the Donbas is deteriorating and point out that both parties to the conflict use heavy weapons, which are banned by the Minsk Agreements.

As previously reported, the President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, during his visit to Washington, said that approximately 10,000 people, including 2,700 servicemen, have been killed as a result of the armed conflict in the Donbas.
