Another Russian soldier was killed in Syria

Bogdan Derevitsky, a Russian serviceman who served under contract in Syria, was killed. According to the official website of the administration of the city, on May 3 a farewell ceremony for the deceased was held.

The ceremony was attended by Mayor Sergey Serebrennikov, as well as the Deputy Commander of the Eastern Military District for Personnel Work, Major-General Sergey Dolotin.

"Bogdan Derevitsky is a graduate of school number 19 and vocational school number 27. In Syria he was serving under contract. The serviceman will be buried with military honors," the statement on the administration’s website says.

According to RBC, Derevitsky was 24 years old. In 2012, he was drafted into the army. After a compulsory military service in Khabarovsk, he remained to serve there under contract and then went to Syria. The circumstances of his death are not specified.
According to official data, 32 Russian soldiers have been killed since the start of the military operation in Syria.
