Latvian military begins new training session for Ukrainian instructors in Lviv

The seventh round of training courses for Ukrainian instructors under the leadership of the Latvian Armed Forces have started on base 184 of the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy of Ground Forces (Lviv Oblast). The training is part of the exercises of the United Multinational Training Group - Ukraine (JMTG-U).

"The Ukrainian military has adopted all the best practices of the European armies and is able to apply the knowledge gained in practice. Our collaboration will be fruitful and effective," Lieutenant Colonel Vladimir Bezborodov said during the opening of the 184th Training Center for Moral and Psychological Support. The Press Service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry reported this at a press conference on Monday.

Bezborodov noted that the previous six cycles provided excellent results, and that more than 150 Ukrainian instructors have been successfully trained.

"Theoretical and practical exercises are already beginning today, which will be conducted by experienced instructors from the Armed Forces of Latvia. The exercises will last for ten days. After the completion of the courses, the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be able to train the cadets of the 184th Training Center at a qualitatively new level.  In addition, they will receive certificates, which will attest to the complete assimilation of new knowledge and skills, which they were given by their Latvian counterparts," he noted.
