Moscow asks Ukraine to allow opening of 4 polling stations for Russian presidential elections

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, it is reviewing the request of Russia to establish four polling stations in Ukraine for the Russian 2018 presidential elections, reports Interfax-Ukraine.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs received a request from the Russian embassy in Ukraine to hold Russian Presidential elections on March 18, 2018 and establish polling stations for citizens of the Russian Federation residing in Ukraine... This request is now being reviewed by the involved agencies," the department noted.

The request concerns the opening of polling stations in the premises of the Russian Embassy in Kyiv and the general consulates of the Russian Federation in Lviv, Odessa and Kharkiv.
