Israel creates supersonic missile that can destroy anti-aircraft missile systems

Israeli companies IMS (Israel Military Industries) and IAI (Israel Aerospace Industries) have developed a supersonic air-to-surface missile named Rampage, reports Ynetnews.

The missile has a range of 150 kilometers. It is 4.7 meters long, and the mass of the warhead is 150 kilograms. The missile should be ready for delivery in 2019.

Weapons launched from fourth and fifth generation fighters, in particular the F-15 Eagle, F-16 Fighting Falcon and F-35 Lightning II, are designed to take out anti-aircraft missile systems and enemy objects.

The Drive news outlet notes that the Rampage missile will be useful in the Israeli military campaign in Syria and against Iran. In May 2018, Israel destroyed the Russian-made Pantsir-S1 missile-gun complex, located in Syria.
