Head of DPR Zakharchenko says the detainees accused of murder attempt on Tax and Collections Minister will be executed

Authorities of the so-called DPR (Donetsk People’s Republic), most likely, will execute the captured Ukrainian "saboteurs," as stated by the leader of the separatist DPR Alexander Zakharchenko, in an interview with a Russian online news agencies.

"We caught the saboteurs who came from the LPR (Luhansk People’s Republic). Most likely we will have to shoot these saboteurs. The authorities must show their strength, otherwise we might have more fearless betrayals," Zakharchenko said.

He noted that the LPR and DPR closely cooperate with each other. They organize common military and police events, mutual working trips, and the prosecutor's offices of the republics work collaboratively.

Earlier  separatist media sources reported that the six-member Ukrainian sabotage group who carried out the explosion of the car that was used to transport the Minister of Revenue and Taxes of the self-proclaimed republic, Alexander Timofeyev, were allegedly arrested in the DPR.

Timofeyev, known as "Sasha Tashkent", was the head of the separatist Oplot battalion which took part in the battle for Donetsk airport. Later, he became minister of Revenue and Taxes of the self-proclaimed republic, and in 2016 he became deputy head of the DPR government, overseeing the work of the economic department.
