Ukraine invites Commander of the US Army in Europe to participate in Ukraine’s Independence Day parade

During his visit to Poland, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Army General Stepan Poltorak spoke with Lieutenant-General Frederick Ben Hodges, Commander of the US Army in Europe.

According to the report made by the press service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry on Tuesday, August 15, Poltorak invited Hodges to take part in the celebration of the 26th anniversary of the independence of Ukraine, as well as the military parade that will be held on August 24 on Khreshchatyk street in Kyiv.

Poltorak also congratulated Hodges for being awarded the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland, which he was presented with by the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda.
