Kremlin: Russian Armed forces received seven intercontinental ballistic missiles in 2018

Since the beginning of 2018, Russia's Strategic Missile Forces (RVSN) have received seven intercontinental ballistic missiles, stated the Deputy Defense Minister of Russia, Alexei Krivoruchko.

"Seven intercontinental ballistic missiles, four autonomous launchers, 17 combat duty support vehicles, and eight integral units of stationary systems were received [by the Russian Armed Forces]", the statement reads. In addition, the Aerospace Forces received 11 new and 21 refurbished aircraft, and one S-300 missile system. The Russian Navy has also received 49 Kalibr cruise missiles, TASS reports.

According to Krivoruchko, the planned supply of armored vehicles in 2018 has been completed by 43%, of the aircraft – by 30%, and helicopters – by 46%.

Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu added that 3,573 buildings and facilities are planned to be commissioned in 2018, and a total of 113.9 billion rubles ($1.8 billion) will be allocated for this purpose. At the same time, 1,281 buildings were built in the first half of 2018, which is twice as many as in the same period last year.
