Poroshenko: Ukraine will get more than just Javelin missile systems from the US

The President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, discussed the results of the talks in Munich with U.S. Secretary of Defense, James Mattis, as reported by Evropeyska Pravda.

"I admire Secretary Mattis. We had a very good visit with Minister Poltorak to the United States," the President said.

Poroshenko assured that the supply of lethal weapons to Ukraine were agreed to in detail at Munich negotiations. He stressed, however, that this agreement covers a wide range of items.

"We agreed to no longer supply only the weapons that have been referred to (obviously, this is about the portable Javelin anti-tank missile systems), but unfortunately, I cannot disclose this information," the President stated.

Earlier it was reported that the draft budget of the USA in 2019 provides for the allocation of $200 million to Ukraine to strengthen its security and defense.
