Only the Prime Minister of Israel and President of Serbia attend Putin’s Victory Day parade
The military parade held in Moscow on May 9 was attended by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. After the parade, the foreign guests, together with Russian President Vladimir Putin, laid flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier near the Kremlin wall.
Benjamin Netanyahu and Vladimir Putin attached the Ribbon of St. George to their jackets, but Aleksandar Vučić refused.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, 13,046 people, 159 units of equipment, and 75 aircraft and helicopters took part in the parade in Moscow.
On May 9, Victory Day of the Soviet People in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 is observed throughout Russia. A parade is traditionally held in Moscow on this day.
