Ukraine banned 38 Russian movies and TV shows in 2016
The Ukrainian State Film Agency announced the statistics for 2016, including how many Russian films were allowed to be shown in the country and how many were forbidden.
Based on the statistics, the Expert Committee on Distribution and Screening banned 38 Russian films and TV series in Ukraine, while it allowed the release of only only Russian films in movie theaters.
Among the banned films and TV series are The Master’s Last Secret, Lyutyy, Under Cover, Ladoga, The Way to A Man's Heart, The Game, Night Guards, Impostor, and others.
In 2014, 166 Russian films and TV series were banned while in 2015 the number of banned films dropped to 82
