Sweden identified Russia as the largest source of cyber-attacks against the country

The Director of the Swedish Military Intelligence and Security Service, Major General Gunnar Karlson, stated that Russia is the largest source of cyber-attacks against Sweden, the Local reported.

“We have information about the sources of many activities; they can be traced more or less directly. It can be distribution of false information, distortion of truth, exaggeration of certain facts that makes it harder to understand the real picture of the situation,” Karlson said. He revealed that attempts to influence the behavior of different groups of the Swedish population are periodically recorded.

The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, FSB, previously stated that foreign Security Services prepare cyber-attacks in order to destabilize the work of the Russia’s largest banks.
