Strelkov announced the creation of new Russian nationalist organization
The political declaration of the All-Russian National Movement under the leadership of Igor “Strelkov” Girkin was published on Saturday. The revival of Russia as a Russian national State that serves the interests of the Russian nation is the purpose of the organization. On the 28th of May, up to 15 people attended the meeting of this organization, Radio Svoboda reported.
The declaration also notes that the members of the organization advocate gaining control over the political system, national capital and information resources of Russia by the Russian nation. The text, published on the Novorossia website, states that participants of the All-Russian National Movement are fighting to defend the rights, freedoms and interests of Russians, who reside in other States and suffer from discrimination.
Igor “Strelkov” Girkin is known for active participation in the annexation of Crimea. In particular, Girkin confessed in one of his interviews that he forced Crimean MPs to vote in favor of separation from Ukraine. Later, Igor “Strelkov” Girkin ran the pro-Russian forces in eastern Ukraine, while serving as a Minister of Defense of the so-called DPR (Donetsk People’s Republic). Girkin also publicly expressed his dissent with the policy of the current Russian authorities.
