Russian Ambassador to the U.S. calls meetings with Trump's son-in-law 'daily contacts'
Russia's ambassador to the United States, Sergey Kislyak, described his relationship with Jared Kushner, son-in-law of White House chief Donald Trump, as "daily contact." Kislyak said this in New York, in response to a request by journalists to explain the allegations about his possible ties with Kushner.
"I do not comment on my daily contacts; and this is our policy, which applies not only to conversations with Kushner, but to all of our daily conversations," Kislyak said.
He also added that he was not afraid, should American media write about his arrival in New York over the next few days.
Earlier, it was reported that Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner wanted to establish a secret channel of communication with the Kremlin, and had secretly contacted the Russian ambassador three times.
