Russia conducted three ballistic missile tests
On the 12th of October, Russia launched the Topol intercontinental ballistic missile from the Plesetsk launch site. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry. It was also reported that the missile’s warhead successfully hit the test target on the Kamchatka Peninsula.
On the same day, the Sineva intercontinental ballistic missile was launched from the Barents Sea from the Northern Fleet’s Novomoskovsk submarine. The missile was aimed at the Kura test site in Kamchatka and, according to the ministry, it was launched from a submerged position.
A missile was also launched from the Pacific Fleet’s Georgiy Pobedonosets nuclear submarine. It was launched from the Sea of Okhotsk and was aimed at the Chizha test site in the Arkhangelsk region.
