New emblem of Ukrainian intelligence shows owl piercing map of Russia with a sword
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has presented the new head of the Chief Directorate of Intelligence of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Major General Vasily Bourbeau, to the relevant staff members. The ceremony was held against a backdrop of the new emblem of Ukraine’s Main Directorate of Intelligence.
A new emblem of the Ukrainian intelligence was also presented at the presentation.
The image on the emblem is set against a background of the colors of the Ukrainian flag and depicts an owl piercing a map of Russia with a sword. “Ukraine above all” is inscribed above the picture. This emblem was also published on Poroshenko’s website on the 24th of October.
Russian officials have made critical statements about the new emblem.
