Lavrov: Russia is ready to cooperate with U.S. on Syria
Russia is ready to cooperate with the United States on the issue of the Syrian settlement, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said during a meeting with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman al-Safadi on Saturday.
The head of Russian diplomacy recalled that the King of Jordan, Abdullah II, repeatedly stressed the fundamental importance of cooperation between Russia and the United States for enhancing the effectiveness of the actions of the world community in the settlement of the crisis in Syria.
"I can assure you that we are fully prepared for this. We expect that the same approach will be shown by Washington," Sergey Lavrov explained.
