Citing a statement made by the Russian Ministry of Defense press service, Russian media has reported that Strategic Missile Forces have started large military exercises in Russia involving about 400 military vehicles such as autonomous missile launchers Topol, Topol-M and Yars.
Exercises are being conducted throughout the Russian territory, from Tver to the Altai region.
In the course of the exercises, soldiers will practice putting missile complexes into position, marching, site preparation, camouflage and battle outpost tasks.
Moreover, servicemen will have to identify and neutralize simulated saboteurs, and will also practice simulated missile launching tasks. Russian Strategic Missile Forces will conduct 40 staff exercises, 10–20 command-staff exercises and over 50 tactical and special exercises.
