Media: Plotnitsky will return to LPR

Igor Plotnitsky, the head of the self-proclaimed LPR, who, according to information provided by the separatists, had resigned, will return to Lugansk to work on the Minsk agreements, reports Novaya Gazeta.

The publication notes that Plotnitsky's successor, LPR ‘Minister of State Security’ Leonid Pasechnik, has no questions for his predecessor. Pasechnik maintained neutrality during the conflict between Plotnitsky and the LPR's Interior Minister, Igor Kornet.

Additionally, the newspaper's sources stressed that Plotnitsky remains the guarantor of the Minsk agreements, and that the new leadership of the LPR does not intend to refuse to implement it, including the prisoner exchange with Ukraine.

On November 24, the LPR’s Minister of State Security reported that Plotnitsky, who is the head of the "Republic", had written a letter of resignation on health grounds, and that he (Plotnitsky) had been appointed as an authorized representative of Luhansk for the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
