Kremlin: Central African Republic interested in Russia's assistance with social and economic security
The authorities of the Central African Republic have expressed interest in Russia’s assistance with the country’s social and economic development and strengthening security, Russian Foreign Ministry wrote on Facebook.
It is noted that the meeting of the Special Representative of Russian President for the Middle East and African countries, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and the President of the Central African Republic Faustin-Archange Touadéra took place on March 16 in Bangui, the capital of the republic.
During the talks, the sides discussed issues of developing bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in various fields, including security, training of national personnel and socio-economic development.
“The Russian side reaffirmed readiness to continue to support the promotion of the African initiative to establish peace and security in the CAR,” the message reads.
