France accuses Russia of ‘space espionage’

The Russian satellite "Luch-Olymp" could have spied on eight satellites belonging to other countries and provoked failures in them, stated the Minister of the French Armed Forces, Florence Parly.

According to Russian TASS news agency, she also called for “vigilance" as France's rivals "militarize space."

In September, Parley accused a Russian satellite of dangerously approaching the French Athena-Fidus satellite. She assumed that it was trying to intercept French line of communication.
