  • The World Bank threatens to deprive Ukraine of $800 million loan guarantees

    The World Bank has decided that the draft bill on an Anticorruption Court submitted by President Petro Poroshenko does not conform to Ukraine’s international obligations.

    Satu Kahkonen, the World Bank Country Director for Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine sent a letter to the Verkhovna Rada and the Presidential administration in which she warned against the adoption of the President’s version of the Law on Anticorruption Court.   • Ukraine tests new air defense missile system

    The Ukrainian scientific-production company, Radionix, and state-run Luch Design Bureau, both of which are part of the Oboronprom military industrial concern, have conducted test missile launches from the upgraded S-125M Pechora surface-to-air defense system, according to a Facebook statement published by Luch.

  • Ukraine ranked second in butter supply to the EU

    Ukraine became the second-ranked country after New Zealand to supply butter to the European Union, reported Trade Representative of Ukraine Nataliya Mykolska.

    "Ukraine ranked second after New Zealand in terms of butter supplies to the EU. In January-November 2017, the EU imported 2,300 tons of relevant products while annual supplies increased almost sevenfold compared to 2016," she wrote on Facebook.
