Ukraine bans the export of anthracite
Ukraine has blocked the export of anthracite for as long as the state of emergency in the energy sector is in effect, according to Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman.

Ukrainian government declares a state of emergency due to energy situation
On the 15th of February, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine declared a state of emergency with respect to the country’s energy situation, by issuing an order “to adopt temporary extreme measures in the electric energy market”. Ukraine makes arrangements to buy coal from the US
According to the Minister of the Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine, Ihor Nasalyk, Ukrainian authorities are holding negations regarding the purchase of anthracite coal in the US, Korrespondent.net reported.
“I have information that negotiations are now being held regarding the shipment of one million tons of anthracite coal from the US to Ukraine,” the minister said at a press conference.
