Russian President Vladimir Putin answers questions from Russian journalists on September 4. Putin is a geopolitical bully and the only thing bullies respond to is force. Not the current sanctions that Putin, so far, seems to think are nothing more than a slap on the wrist. Unless the West draws a clear line in the sand that Putin fears encroaching, Ukraine won’t be the only country in Europe under Putin’s tundra.

Pope to meet Putin if he arrives on time.
Russian President Vladimir Putin could have an audience with Pope Francis at the United Nations on the sidelines of the development summit meeting later this month — but only, as per the Vatican envoy to the UN, if Mr. Putin gets here in time.

A brilliant operation of a Ukrainian guerilla group named after Svyatoslav Horobry brought down Yasinuvatsky Engineering Plant today.
The plant had been used by the Russian invaders to carry out repair and restoration works on armored vehicles. As noted by Alexander Danyluk, the head of “Spilna Sprava” on his FB page. At 4:20 pm the power lines and hydro substation feeding the plant were blown up. The plant is completely stopped.
