Ukrainian President Zelensky to meet with Erdogan and Patriarch Bartholomew in Turkey
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will visit Turkey on August 7-8, reports the website of the Ukrainian President.
During the visit, Zelensky will meet with Turkish President Recep Erdoğan in Ankara, as well as representatives of the Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar communities.
Zelensky will also meet with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I in Istanbul.
In April, the Ukrainian President and his family said that they spent in Turkey "their first weekend in the last four months."

Ukrainian Orthodox Church conducts first liturgy as independent church
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has called on the world’s orthodox churches to recognize their “Ukrainian sister”.
On January 7, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) conducted its first service in the St. Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv after receiving its tomos of autocephaly (independence). The service began with the Orthodox Christmas liturgy.
According to the president’s official website, the tomos of Autocephaly was solemnly set in place before the royal brothers of the cathedral.
