The Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy & Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn, told reporters that the European Commission intends to allocate 50 million euros to support Ukraine’s fight against corruption, Rosbalt reported.

Over the last 24 hours, one Ukrainian soldier was killed and ten were wounded as a result of the fighting in the Donbas, Interfax-Ukraine reported, citing the Speaker of the Ukrainian Presidential Administration on issues in the conflict area, Andrei Lysenko.

Ukraine and Canada have signed a free trade agreement. The Canadian Minister of International Trade, Chrystia Freeland, and First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Stepan Kubiv, signed the agreement. The number of civilian victims in the Donbas has reached its highest point since August 2015, as stated in the latest report by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs which was made public on Friday, 8 July.
