Ukrainian Intelligence: Russian troops in the Donbas are moving closer to the demarcation line

Ukrainian Intelligence has reported that pro-Russian forces in the Donbas are actively strengthening their positions in three areas.

According to the main intelligence directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the enemy is reinforcing divisions at the front, transporting weapons and military equipment towards Novoaidar, Donetsk and Sloviansk. The rotation of the troops is taking place near settlements which are in the immediate vicinity of the demarcation line.

In the area of Krasnyi Luch, two mechanized infantry platoons of the 2nd Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 2nd Army Corps of the Russian Armed Forces and six trucks with ammunition have moved towards Luhansk.

A self-propelled Howitzer artillery battery, a motorized rifle platoon, two trucks with ammunition and two Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile systems were transported from Shakhtarsk towards Donetsk and Yenakiieve.

Russian troops continue to equip their forefront positions with wired communications near Sloviansk, in particular in the areas of Nyzhnje Lozove and Veselohorivka, Ukrainian Intelligence reported. The 7th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 1st Army Corps of the Russian Armed Forces is based there.

In addition, the Ukrainian intelligence learned that a train from Russia carrying 46 tankers of diesel fuel (2,300 tons) arrived in Ilovaisk.
