Ukrainian Ministry of Defense: Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive more than 10,000 units of military equipment in 2017

According to the needs determined by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, plans have been made to supply more than ten thousand weapons and units of military equipment to the troops in 2017, as stated by Major-General Oleg Shevchuk, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

He noted that the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense expects to purchase new and modernized weapons and military equipment from the Ukrainian military manufacturers and, in particular, from Ukroboronprom State Concern.

“Ten types of weapons and military equipment were adopted by the army. The repair and restoration units of the Armed Forces have restored more than 6,400 units of weapons and military equipment,” Shevchuk said.
