Russia to create military unit comprised of Ukrainian citizens

In December, Russia started the process of creating the Third Army Corps, which is meant to be comprised of Ukrainian citizens

The new corps is meant to be staffed entirely with Ukrainian citizens, as stated the Head of Security Service of Ukraine (SSU), Vasily Grytsak, during an interview with Ukrainian Channel 5.

"As far as we know, in December 2015, the Russian Federation began to create the Third Army Corps which will be deployed on the territory of the Rostov region. The chief of this division has already been appointed, and is a Russian citizen", Grytsak said.

The Head of the SSU also stated that they have information concerning the recruitment of Ukrainian citizens aged 25-30.
