Negotiations between the Normandy Four leaders were held via telephone

The Press Secretary of the President of Ukraine, Svyatoslav Tsegolko, posted on Twitter that Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko conducted a telephone call with the members of the Normandy Four leaders during which they discussed their support for the deployment of an OSCE Police mission in the Donbas.

Poroshenko also called on the Russian Federation to release all Ukrainian prisoners including Savchenko, Afanasiev and Soloshenko.

It should be noted that President Petro Poroshenko looks forward to working with international organizations on developing a multilateral trust fund for the restoration of the Donbas.

According to him, Ukraine is committed to supporting political leadership and engagement in the conflict resolution process, to strengthen the protection of civilians and to ensure unhindered transportation of humanitarian assistance for affected populations.

The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) may send an armed police mission to the Donbas to oversee local elections.
