Ministry of Finance expects a positive decision from the IMF on the provision of loans to Ukraine

On the 15th of May, the Minister of Finance of Ukraine, Oleksandr Danylyuk, stated live on Inter TV that the Ministry expects a positive decision from the International Monetary Fund Board of Directors concerning the provision of the next loan to Ukraine. Danylyuk noted that the primary task now is negotiating the text of the Memorandum.

“Now, the main task is to agree on a new version of the Memorandum. When this happens, the meeting of the IMF Board of Directors will be held and I’m sure that they will make a positive decision. I don’t want to rush things, now the main task is to agree on the text,” he said. Danylyuk also assured that Ukraine would use the IMF funding to continue the implementation of reforms in the country.

The Project Office for Reforms was created within the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine in order to ensure the rapid and effective implementation of reforms.
