Minister of Ecology: Ukraine will be able to supply itself with gas in five years

Over the next four or five years, Ukraine will be able to supply itself with gas. This is according to the Minister of Ecology, Ostap Semerak, and was reported by 112 Ukraine.

“This possibility is absolutely real and there are two ways to achieve this goal. Firstly, Ukraine is striving to become energy efficient. Secondly, Ukraine will pay attention and monitor the use of its natural resources to meet its oil and gas needs,” Semerak explained.

“Myself and the Ministry will help the system work effectively in their search for new deposits, and in the creation of conditions for the extraction of energy resources,” he concluded.

The Ukrainian Prime Minister, Volodymyr Groysman, had previously announced that Ukraine would supply its own gas and would stop importing it.
