Media: Ukraine will impose duties on chocolate from Russia

Imports of Russian chocolate to Ukraine will be allowed only if 31.33% of the owed anti-dumping duty is paid.

According to Evropeyskaya Pravda, the Interdepartmental Commission for International Trade decided to introduce anti-dumping duties against chocolate and other cocoa products produced in Russia. The publication’s sources said that the duties will be imposed for five years.

According to the source, the commission also refused to extend the special measures applied to the imports on porcelain dishes and tableware into Ukraine, regardless of the country of origin and export.

Last month Ukraine introduced anti-dumping duties against Russia. Kyiv also promised to conduct an investigation into the import of fertilizers from the Russian Federation.

Import duties imposed on Russian goods are extended for 2017. The Ukrainian government adopted this decision at the end of last year.
