Media: Russian Defense Minister arrived in Crimea

The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Sergey Shoygu, arrived in Crimea on Thursday, TASS reported. An official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry stated that Shoygu will hear reports on construction of military infrastructure and check the military sanatorium in the city of Saky.

The Head of the Russian Ministry of Defense will hear the reports of the Command of the Southern Military District and Black Sea Fleet on constructing military infrastructure. The Minister is also scheduled to visit Sevastopol, where he will present an award to the separate marine brigade of the Black Sea Fleet.

The Ministry’s website had released no information about Shoygu’s visit to Crimea.
