Forbes Ukraine: Poroshenko's assets grew by $100 million

Despite the sustained crisis in the Ukrainian economy, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko managed to increase his assets, as Forbes Ukraine stated. As reported on their website, as of March 31, the President ranked 6th on the list of the richest Ukrainians, with assets in the amount of $858 million. Analysts of the publication noted an increase in Poroshenko’s assets by $100 million compared to last year.

Besides Roshen Corporation, which was transferred to a blind trust, he owns International Investment Bank and he is a beneficiary of the "Ukrprominvest-agro" holding. He also owns a number of assets in the starch, automobile, shipbuilding and machine-building industries. Additionally, Poroshenko owns several national and regional TV and radio companies.

First on the list was Rinat Akhmetov. As compared to last year’s rates, his assets reduced from $4.6 billion to $2.3 billion. Second place went to Igor Kolomoisky. The value of assets of the former Governor of Dnepropetrovsk region are estimated at $1.3 billion. Gennady Bogolyubov took third place, whose assets are estimated at $1.3 billion as well. Fourth place went to Viktor Pinchuk, who has $1.2 billion in assets. Fifth on the list was Yury Kostiuk, who has approximately $1 billion in assets.
