A new gas field discovered in Ukraine
The press service for UkrGasVydobuvannya (Ukrainian largest gas producer) stated that from the beginning of the year they had discovered the fourth gas field in the Kharkiv region.
“At this stage of the geological study, according to Ukringaz, the reserves of the discovered field make up at least 400 million cubic meters, and perspective resources of the field as a whole can equate to 3.7 billion cubic meters of blue fuel,” the statement reads.
It is noted that the discovery of the field took place after the completion of drilling and testing an exploratory well, which was built after analysis of the geological area.
The work is being carried out on setting up the well and setting up trial operation; exploration is also continuing.
UkrGasVydobuvannya reminded that from the beginning of the year already three new gas fields in the Kharkiv region in subsoil areas, special permits for which were received before 2017. The prospective resources of the four new fields as the whole amount to 8.2 billion cubic meters of blue fuel.
