    Russian military had to leave the military base in the village of Tal Salba in the North of the Syrian Hama province after it was shelled by militants  from the terrorist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (former Jabhat al-Nusra), reports Al-Masdar News.

  • Pentagon: Russian Su-35 fighter dangerously intercepted US surveillance aircraft

    On 4 June, a Russian Su-35 fighter intercepted an American P-8A “Poseidon” surveillance aircraft three times in international airspace over the Mediterranean Sea, the US 6th Fleet reported the following day. The second interception was considered “unsafe”.

    The Russian Su-35 flew at high speed directly in front of the American aircraft, resulting in a wave of turbulence that put the pilots’ lives at risk, the US military’s press service explained.

  • Russia urges Turkey to stop militant attacks coming from Idlib

    Russia has blocked a UN Security Council statement calling for confirmation of the ceasefire in Idlib, Syria, a source in the council reported on 3 June.

  • Russia resumes bombings in Syria after negotiations with Turkey fail

    Russian aircraft  continued the bombing of the North-West regions of Syria after the talks between Russian military and Turkish Army to reach the ceasefire failed, reports Al Masdar News with reference to Syrian military sources.

  • Russian Special Forces ambushed in Syria

    Russian Special Forces were ambushed by Syrian rebels near the village of Khirbet al-Arus in the northwest of the Syrian Hama province, reported the Conflict Intelligence Team on Telegram.

  • Israel strikes Syrian missile launcher

    Aircraft of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attacked a missile launcher in Syria after missiles were fired against an Israeli fighter jet, as reported on the Twitter page of IDF.

     “Earlier today, an Israeli fighter jet, during a routine flight in the north of the country, came under fire from the Syrian territory,”  the message reads.
