    A 107 year-old painting titled “Secret Departure of Ivan the Terrible Before the Oprichnina” by Mikhail Panin will soon be sent back to Ukraine by the US authorities. The painting depicts a 16th century scene of the Russian Tsar Ivan IV, commonly known as Ivan the Terrible, leaving the Kremlin gates with his entourage.

  • Former Lithuanian Prime Minister's son questioned in connection with Russian espionage case

    52-year old Vaidotas Prunskus has been questioned in connection with a case of espionage for Russia, Delfi reported on Wednesday. Prunskus is the son of former Lithuanian Prime Minister Kazimira Prunskiene, the first Lithuanian prime minister after the declaration of independence in 1990.

    US citizen Paul Whelan was arrested by police shortly after receiving a storage device with information about a Russian state secret – a classified list of persons that American intelligence has been interested in for some time.
