Germany: military parades in separatist republics violated the Minsk agreements
Germany said that military parades in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) violated the Minsk agreements and represented a threat to the population of the region, Ukrinform news agency reports.
The military parades were held in Donetsk and Luhansk on May 9. In the DPR, from 50 to 80 units of military equipment were involved while in the LPR more than 60 units of military equipment and weapons and 1,200 soldiers took part in the parade.

Russia shows Arctic air defense systems during military parade in Moscow
Moscow showcased air defense systems capable of operating in sub-zero Arctic temperatures.
The Arctic technology – the Tor-M2DT anti-aircraft missile system and the Pantsir-SA anti-aircraft missile and gun system, painted in white and gray – were showcased for the first time, Russian news agency TASS reported.

Russia will hold a maritime parade in St. Petersburg despite the presence of the American destroyer USS Carney in the Baltic Sea
Mikhail Nenashev, the Chairman of the All-Russian Fleet Support public initiative, stated that the maritime parade in St. Petersburg will take place, although fewer ships will take part in it.
He denied media reports that it was decided to cancel the parade on Victory Day in the northern capital because of the USS Carney cruiser, which approached the inland waters of the Russian Federation at a distance of a potential missile strike.
