    The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) announced that during the attack on northern Syria in March 2017, chemical weapons were used.

    The U.S. naval forces strike team, headed by the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman CVN 75, returned to the eastern region of the Mediterranean Sea to continue launching attacks against Islamic State militants in Syria and Iraq. “The Harry S.   • Assad’s airstrikes on Syrian Idlib province kill 17 people

    On Sunday, June 10, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s government forces carried out airstrikes on targets in the the Idlib province, including a hospital in the town of Taftanaz, Anadolu news agency reports. Strikes were also directed against the towns of Binnish and Ariha, and Ram Hamdan and Beni Iz villages. 17 civilians were killed in the attack.

  • Russia’s airstrike in Syrian Idlib province kills 44 people

    Observers from two organizations, the White Helmets and the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), have reported that on the evening of June 7, aircraft from the Russian Air Forces launched an air strike against the Syrian village of Zardana in the province of Idlib, killing at least 44 people.

      German authorities have issued arrest warrant for the chief of Syria's Air Force Intelligence, Jamil Hassan. German Prosecutor’s Office accuses Hassan of war crimes and crimes against humanity.

    Spiegel newspaper calls the military commander one of the closest associates of the President Bashar al-Assad.
