Russia deployed another - the ninth - Su-30SM multifunctional fighter jet to the Crimea as part of the separate Naval Assault Aviation Regiment of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, Crimea News reported, citing the press service of the Southern Military District (SMD). French fighters escorted Russian bombers off the coast of Brittany
On the 22nd of September, two French Rafale fighter jets were scrambled to escort two Russian Tu-160 bombers that were intercepted 100 kilometers from Brittany’s coastline (Atlantic coast) as they were approaching the borders of France, the Ministry of Defense of France reported.
