During his visit to Yerevan, Pope Francis used the term genocide to describe the massacre of Armenians in 1915 in the Ottoman Empire, Radio Svoboda reported.

The Armed Forces of Latvia detected a Russian submarine not far from the Latvian border once again.

KGB investigates 138 Belarusians suspected of fighting in eastern Ukraine
The Chairman of Belarus' State Security Committee (KGB), Valery Vakulchik, stated that the KGB is investigating the activities of 138 Belarusian citizens who are thought to have been combatants in Ukraine's eastern regions of Luhansk and Donetsk.

Lithuania receives first shipment of military hardware from Germany
On Friday, the Armed Forces of Lithuania received two 155 mm self-propelled PzH2000 (Panzerhaubitze 2000) howitzers from the German Bundeswehr, Evropeyskaya Pravda reported, citing a statement issued by the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense.
